Fog photography

Today I have learned that you can take advantage of the fog, by looking out for objects that slowly dissppear into the fog

When the fog sets in you don’t need to abandon your photo session. Look around you to see if there are any interesting shots that involve objects that recede into the fog as it gets further away from you. This can create a lovely moody, mysterious shot.

  1. Good tip. I love fog. Fortunately I live close to San Francisco where I can take plenty of good photographs even during the foggy season (summer). Fog adds a lot of depth, which is quite obvious in your fantastic photos.

    • Thanks. Yes I have seen some really amazing shots of the San Francisco bridge with the fog rolling over it! I would say another tip to working with fog is scouting out the great locations that combines the fog and landscape to give you amazing photos.
