Today me and my 3.5 year old went on a leaf hunt around our garden and came up with about 20 very different kinds of leaves which we categorised into ‘long and spiky’ ‘coloured’ ‘looks like hands’ ‘smelly (these ones were herbs!)’. Then we put them into a scrapbook. I know they won’t last but it was tons of fun. We even found a baby snail hiding on the underside of a leaf and watched it move for ages. Even managed to get him to put it on his hand to feel how tickly it was when it moved (miracle as he’s usually a bit phobic about touching bugs!)

It’s all about snatching the moments when they arise…and finding beauty in all the small things hey.

I LOVE the last photo and I always like looking at landscapes

the picnic sounds very nice and yeah sometimes we just have to kick our butts into action :) I try to say yes when my youngest wants to ride his bike as I know its giving me more exercise – I walk for exercise :)
