Guess what?!? I just realised that I started this blog a year ago TODAY!
When my friend suggested I give blogging ago, I was tempted to delay it. I had no idea what to call my blog, or what I wanted to write about. With gentle prodding, I did end up jumping in and giving it ago. I can’t believe it has been a year! It’s been a fun journey!
I feel quite passionate about supporting mothers. To let them know they are doing a great job. We are sometimes so hard on ourselves, and think we are the only ones feeling like this. This is probably the reason I wrote my first post called “Releasing the “if onlys”:
“…The moment has gone, the decision has already been made, and we are left with the consequences to that action.
Yes you can recognise that perhaps a better decision could have been made, but don’t dwell on it, move on, and find the good in it and let gratitude fill your heart.”
Once I realised how big the blogsphere was, I couldn’t wait to share all the amazing finds with others!! What started out as “My 5 links for the week”, has evolved into “5 Great Finds“. I love finding new things to share with you all!
I also love posting about the fun things I get up to with my 4 children.
I also think that as mothers, we should allow ourselves some time each week to do something that makes us smile. A few years ago, I found myself in a position where I didn’t know what “I liked” anymore. So to discover what inspired me, and what made me light up inside, I started discovery dates. I used to do these in the weekend or evening, but with my youngest at Playcentre twice a week now, I force myself to leave the chores at home, and venture out to do something just for me.
Through this blog, I have been able to practice my photography…
…but more importantly, I have become better at taking notice of beautiful moments and capturing them on camera.
To celebrate my first anniversary, I am giving away a box of Lindt Lindor “Irresistibly Smooth Stracciatella” – White Chocolate with Cocoa Pieces and a Delectably Smooth Centre (tastes like cookies and cream…mmmmm). I tried this at The Food Show, and it was SOOO GOOD that I bought a couple of boxes…one box for me and one box, filled with 13 pieces of Lindor Chocolates for YOU!

WOW – has it REALLY TRULY been a year already? My how time flies!!! And you know what? Also probably 2 years ago that we reconnected! Loving how it is all panning out when you look at it from ‘out of the trenches’…
