I am such a TV prude that I think almost EVERY show on TV is too old for children. I took my kids to a kid movie the other day and was disgusted by the previews (of KID shows). High five from one prude to another.

Nope, don’t think you’re a prude. Or, if you are one, I’m right there with you! I don’t think either of those shows are suitable for 9-11 year olds. What happened to letting kids be kids? The sexual innuendos are far too much in both of those programmes, IMHO.

Hello! I love those milkshake cups too, they’re so cute. Did you ask if you could take photos there or just whip out the camera? I take a lot of photos but not so many in shops ) I think I’m going to follow your lead and take myself out on a discovery date on Friday. Thanks for the inspiration.

You are so NOT a TV Prude. I agree with you…. I can’t believe what some kids my daughter’s age watch (she is 9). Don’t parents care anymore about protecting children’s Innocence? Seriously just 20 years ago… it was the BRADY BUNCH I was watching!!

I’ve seen maybe two, three of both of them & I think they have adult humor& sarcasm that’s not good for kids to be exposed to. Way too sexual. Life isn’t all about dating & fancy cars. not all mothers are mental… etc.
We haven’t owned a TV in years, so I wouldn’t know what “the norm” for kids to watch at that age is these days. I saw the shows at a friend’s house (no kids with me).

i absolutely cannot stand the programme 2 and a half men! i can’t think of a show more denigrating/sexist towards women….it’s absolutely not a show for children from the little bits i’ve had the misfortune of watching…so there’s my mini rant for the day ha!

We’re all feeling crook with yet another virus here. Charlotte home this week (on doc’s orders) and Sophie was home most of last week I’ve been going to bed 8ish most nights – but Alice is waking for a feed every couple of hours!

good on you! sounds like you had a great schoo;l hols. we used to try a no tv night once a week which was good, but it somehow sneaked back in again. and i really need to limit my time on the computer!
